ATR Exterior Cleaning – Terms and Conditions

Welcome to ATR Exterior Cleaning Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our services. By booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Service Frequency and Schedule

We offer window cleaning services on a regular schedule (typically every 4 or 8 weeks), as well as one-off cleans.

While we aim to clean your windows on the designated week, our schedule can be affected by severe weather, staff sickness, or holidays. We will always endeavour to complete the clean as close to the scheduled date as possible.

We operate a year-round service. Cleaning will continue during light-to-moderate rain. If the weather is severe (e.g., heavy downpours, high winds, or freezing temperatures), we will reschedule for safety reasons.

2. Access and Preparation

Gate Access: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that full access is available to all windows on the scheduled cleaning day. Gates must be unlocked, and any obstructions (such as heavy plant pots or garden furniture) should be moved clear of the windows.

Locked Gates: If we arrive and cannot access the rear of your property due to a locked gate or obstruction, we will clean the front and accessible windows only. You will still be charged 75% of the total quote, as a slot was reserved for your property.

Pets: For the safety of our staff, please ensure all pets are kept securely indoors on the day of your clean.

3. Customer Satisfaction & Guarantee

We pride ourselves on the quality of our work. We use standard industry methods (such as pure-water fed poles or traditional squeegee methods) to ensure a high-quality finish.

24-Hour Guarantee: If you are not completely satisfied with the clean, you must contact us within 24 hours of the service being completed. We will return to re-clean any problematic windows free of charge.

Complaints made after the 24-hour window will not be eligible for a free re-clean. Please note that spot marks caused by building work, silicone, or paint cannot be removed by standard window cleaning.

4. Payments and Billing

Pricing: The price quoted is based on a standard clean. If the windows are exceptionally dirty (e.g., post-construction, long-term neglect), a first-time clean surcharge may apply, which will be agreed upon beforehand.

Payment Terms: Payment must be made within [e.g., 5 or 7 days] of the clean being completed.

Payment Methods: We accept payment via [e.g., Bank Transfer / Debit Card / Cash / Direct Debit via GoCardless].

Late Payments: Failure to pay within the agreed timeframe may result in the suspension of your service. Continued non-payment may incur a late payment fee or referral to a debt recovery agency.

5. Postponements and Cancellations

Postponing a Clean: If you need to skip a scheduled clean, you must give us at least 24 hours' notice. If you cancel on the day of the clean, we reserve the right to charge a late-cancellation fee.

Cancelling the Contract: If you wish to cancel your regular service entirely, you can do so at any time after the first clean by giving us 14 days notice before your next scheduled clean.

6. Liability and Damage

Our cleaners are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance.

We accept liability for damage directly caused by our negligence or faulty equipment.

We do not accept liability for damage caused by pre-existing defects, including but not limited to:

Rotten, degraded, or poorly maintained window frames/sills.

Loose, damaged, or brittle leaded windows.

Scratches that were present prior to our clean (pure water and soft brushes cannot scratch glass).

Water ingress caused by faulty window seals, improperly closed windows, or poorly fitted vents.

7. Privacy and Data Protection (GDPR)

We take your privacy seriously. Any personal data we collect (name, address, contact details) will be used solely for the purpose of managing your account and providing our services.

We will never share your details with third parties without your explicit consent, in compliance with UK GDPR regulations.
